Abstrak

This research aims to (1) describe declarative sentence types according to Verspoor & Sauter (2000), (2) describe translation techniques according to Molina & Albir (2002), and (3) evaluate the accuracy quality based on Nababan et al. (2012). The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The data in this research are drawn from the announcement sections of internal notices from the years 2020 to 2025, including English source texts and their Indonesian target text translations. The data were obtained from the Panasonic Manufacturing Indonesia website and collected through content analysis and focus group discussion. The findings reveal that the most frequently used technique was Established Equivalent, occurring as a single technique in 27% of the data and commonly in combination with others. In double combinations, Established Equivalent and Modulation appeared most often (14%), followed by Established Equivalent and Transposition (5%). In triple combinations, the most common was Established Equivalent, Transposition and Modulation (11%). Overall, 92% of the translations were considered accurate, 8% less accurate, and none inaccurate. These results indicate a strong preference for using Established Equivalent—either individually or in combination—highlighting its effectiveness in conveying standardized meaning in corporate or public communications. Therefore, it is recommended that translators working on declarative sentences in commercial contexts, such as corporate websites or subtitles, consider prioritizing Established Equivalent due to its proven high accuracy and suitability for formal communication.
