Abstrak
Maintenance is an activity aimed at maintaining a facility or factory machine by carrying out upkeep, care, and repairs to ensure the facility can continue to operate optimally. Maintenance should be performed from the beginning of a machine's operation. The double mould centrifugal casting machine owned by PT XYZ, which is currently still in the production process, does not yet have a maintenance system. Therefore, in this study, the author aims to develop a study to prepare a maintenance system for this machine. This research is conducted using the FMEA method to identify the critical components of the machine. Subsequently, the author performs lifespan prediction calculations for the components to determine the replacement intervals and calculates the quantity and intervals for bearing lubrication. Once all the calculation data is obtained, the author uses the preventive maintenance method to determine the appropriate maintenance system for the double mould centrifugal casting machine. From the results of this research, a schedule of daily and monthly inspection activities is obtained, which includes temperature and vibration monitoring, lubrication activities, component cleaning, and component replacement schedules.
