Anisa Syifa Sauqi, English for Business and Professional Communication. Analysis of Translation Techniques and Qualities of Metaphors from the Novel 'The Hound of the Baskervilles'.
This research discusses translation techniques for metaphors using Molina and

Ulman's theory is used to classify the types of metaphors found. Descriptive approaches are being used in this qualitative study. Data was gathered through focus group discussions (FGD), and it was then examined. The aim of this research is to find out the types of metaphors, translation techniques and translation quality in the novel 'The Hound of The Baskervilles'. reduction at 11%, reduction and adaptation at 10%, literal translation at 8%, amplification and linguistic compression at 6%, amplification 5 %, 3% for adaptation, linguistic compression, amplification and reduction, borrowing and
reduction, and modulation and reduction, finally 2% for linguistic amplification,
modulation, particularization, compensation, compensation and reduction, and
