Abstrak
This study was conducted with the aim to analyze the quality of translation of collocations in subtitles from English to Indonesian on five videos in the "Human vs. Virus" playlist on the TED-Ed YouTube channel. This research focuses on the identification of collocation types and patterns, the extent of the natural meaning of collocation in translation, and the assessment of translation quality based on the aspects of accuracy, acceptability, and readability according to Nababan (2012). The classification of collocation types and patterns uses the theory of Benson et. al (1986). This research was conducted using descriptive qualitative research method. Data were collected using document analysis and focus group discussion. The result of this study shows that the most frequent pattern is lexical collocation type with Verb & Noun pattern. Meanwhile, there is one collocation pattern that is not found in the research, which is Adjective & Preposition pattern. In general, the subtitles translation shows a relatively good quality, with an average accuracy score of 2.4; acceptability of 2.8 and readability of 2.9. This study is expected to contribute to the improvement of audiovisual translation quality, especially in the linguistic unit of collocation for translators and educational content creators.
