Analisis Pemilihan Moda Transportasi Masyarakat Jakarta pada Perjalanan Jakarta-Bandung

Intercity travel from Jakarta to Bandung is accommodated by the competing modes of Whoosh KC, Argo Parahyangan Train, travel, and private car. Research is needed to determine the probability of choosing the four modes. The purpose of this study is to determine the socio-economic and travel characteristics and perceptions of transport modes, then estimate parameters, develop logit equations and model the probability of mode selection, and determine the sensitivity of the model. The research data were collected using a questionnaire in the form of revealed preference and stated preference. The data analysis method used was multinomial logistic regression using Stata 17 and SPSS 25 software. Three types of models were generated, namely the first model based on mode characteristics, the second model based on socio-economic travel characteristics, and the third model based on perceptions of transportation modes. In the first model, 52.9% chose the Whoosh KC, 11.4% chose the Argo Parahyangan train, 18.8% chose travel, and 16.9% chose a private car. In the second model, 85.2% chose Whoosh KC, 2.5% chose Argo Parahyangan train, 7.5% chose travel, and 4.8% chose a private car. In the third model, 48.1% chose Whoosh KC, 1.19% chose Argo Parahyangan train, 9.96% chose travel, and 40.75% chose a private car. Sensitivity analyses on the three models show that changes in the independent variables can increase or decrease the probability of choosing a mode of transport.
