Abstrak
To ensure reliability in the distribution process, especially in the 20 kV outgoing cubicles, one critical aspect of maintenance is to ensure that the insulation resistance is in good condition as stipulated by VDE (catalogue 228/4) and IEEE 43-2000. This is necessary to ensure that the busbars and PMTs are safely operable. Therefore, insulation resistance testing of PMTs and busbars using a 2500V insulation tester is required. For the 20 kV PMTs, the lowest insulation resistance measured between the PMT Bottom - Body (ground) and phase S - Body (ground) is 108 MΩ. The highest value measured between the PMT Top – Body (ground) and phase R – Body (ground) is 106.3 GΩ. For the 20 kV outgoing cubicle busbars, the lowest insulation resistance measured between Busbar - Body (ground) and phase R - Body (ground) is 26.9 GΩ. The highest value measured between Busbar – Busbar and phase R – S is 104.7 GΩ. Referring to the standard values, IEEE 43-2000 specifies a minimum insulation resistance of >1 MΩ/1 kV, and VDE catalogue 228/4 states that the minimum insulation resistance value is 1 kV = 1 MΩ. Therefore, it can be concluded that the insulation resistance testing of the PMTs and busbars in the 20 kV outgoing cubicle meets the required standards.
