THE TRANSLATION SHIFT ANALYSIS IN ENGLISH- INDONESIAN TRANSLATION (A STUDY ON "LEARN INDONESIAN WITH INDONESIANPOD101.COM" YOUTUBE CHANNEL)

This study observes the Indonesian-English translation of noun phrases on “Learn Indonesian with Indonesianpod101.com” YouTube Channel. This study was conducted to analyze the translation shift, translation techniques, and translation quality in the translation of noun phrases on “Learn Indonesian with Indonesianpod101.com” YouTube Channel. This study uses the descriptive qualitative as a research method. The study shows that the dominant translation shift is the Intra-System Shift with 51 out of 129 data, with the rest in sequence the Structure Shift with 50 out of 129 data, Unit Shift with 25 out of 129 data, and Class Shift with 3 out of 129 data. Apparently, there is no Level Shift in the Indonesian-English translation of noun phrases. The translation quality analysis shows that it has 2.9 average of the translation quality showing that it has a high translation quality.
