This study aims to research translation techniques and translation quality with a
focus on accuracy. The linguistic elements that are the focus of the translation are
the types of sentences classified by clause in the Text Law of the Republic of
Indonesia Number 28 of 2009 Articles 1 to 20 on Local Taxes and Charges. This
research is a research with descriptive qualitative method that explains sentence
types, translation techniques and translation quality. The technique used in
collecting data is purposive sampling. The selected data were then analyzed using
content analysis techniques and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Research shows
that the types of sentences that are often found in this study are simple sentences as
much as 60 data or 57% of the 105 total data. Translation techniques that are widely
used are literal translation with 105 data or 100% of the total 105 sentence data and
Calque with 59 data or 56% of the total 105 data. The accuracy of the translation
quality obtained a value of 1.7 from the highest score of 3. This indicates that the
quality of the resulting translation has an accuracy quality that is less accurate.
Readers are less able to understand the translation results properly because the
words or terms translated are mostly still distorted or shifting in meaning and some
meanings are omitted so that it disrupts the integrity of the message.
