Abstrak
This research aimed to analyze the performance of Pakuan Four-Way Intersection under existing conditions and project its performance for the next 35 years. The study also sought to identify suitable alternative plans based on Indonesian Road Capacity Manual (PKJI) guidelines and PTV Vissim (student version) modeling. Primary data, including traffic volume, road geometry, environmental conditions, and vehicle speed, were collected through traffic surveys at each intersection arm (Jalan Padi, Jalan Bina Marga, Jalan Ciheuleut, and Jalan Pakuan). Secondary data such as location maps, population growth rates, and supporting literature were also utilized. Results showed that the existing saturation level was within acceptable limits at 0.58, but with high side friction at commercial locations, a factor of 0.95 was applied in the performance calculations. PTV Vissim modeling indicated a level of service (LOS) of F, signifying queues and delays at the intersection. Projecting the performance with a 1.2% growth rate to year 35 resulted in a saturation level of 0.88. To address this, potential solutions involving traffic management and widening each intersection arm were proposed as a last resort.
