Abstrak

Abstract
The development of transportation infrastructure plays a crucial role in urban development by enhancing connectivity and supporting economic and social growth. The project to construct the Simpang Tak Sebidang (STS) access road on Jalan Nasional RE Martadinata aims to alleviate traffic congestion and improve the efficiency of the transportation system in the area. This research focuses on evaluating the design change from an embankment foundation to Slab on Pile (SOP) structure in the STS Martadinata project. This change was initiated to enhance construction stability and efficiency, reduce settlement risks, and expedite the construction timeline. Through technical, economic, and managerial analyses, this study evaluates the impact of the design change on construction efficiency and costs, and provides recommendations to optimize project implementation. The results of this research are expected to contribute to the advancement of knowledge, offer technical guidance for practitioners, and improve the quality of life for the community by enhancing the transportation system.
